Wu Mingqiu
Wu Mingqiu

Heilongjiang Province, China, currently resides in Dalian. He is a painter and a member of the Provincial Artists Association. He currently serves as Director of the Dalian Gu Feng Art Museum, Secretary-General of the Dalian Wu Clan Association, and Legal Representative of Dalian Wu Clan Culture Communication Co., Ltd. In 2013, he was awarded the title of “Outstanding Philanthropist” by the Dalian Charity Federation. His representative work is “Full Hall of Lotus Energy.”
Enlisted in the PLA Dalian Army Academy in 1989, later pursued advanced studies at the Fine Arts Department of the PLA Academy of Art. Has long been engaged in artistic creation. Received early guidance from Xu Shenghua, Vice President of the China Marine Painting Academy. Studied heavy-color landscape painting under Wu Jianfei, founder of the Chinese heavy-color freehand landscape painting style. His vibrant lotus creations were mentored by Huang Yongyu. In 2023, his works were featured in the exhibition “Ink and Color: A National Exhibition of Masterpieces by Renowned Calligraphers and Painters.”
